Chesapeake Electrical Systems provided the Electrical Contracting to build United Airline's Hangar for wide body passenger jets, including approximately 21,700 sq. ft. of office space, 10,000 square feet of mechanical and metal shops and over 106,000 square feet of hangar bay area zoned Class 1 - Division 1 Hazardous location. The hangar bay area, over 100 feet in height, is lit with over 150 - 1000 watt metal halide fixtures and features 15 - 400 Hz service pits.

Chesapeake Electrical systems worked closely in the beginning of the project with the electrical engineer of record and helped redesign major portions of the project, evolving the primary electrical service into a 4.0 MVA housed substation.

Chesapeake Electrical Systems furnished and installed all backbone and plant fiber communications, an advanced access control security system and integrated a complex dual fire suppression/ foam system which provides fire control/safety throughout the building.
